| V-band flange technology is a rather new concept in the automotive world. With extensive use in the marine and aerospace industries, these assemblies must endure extreme condtions and perform without flaws. The first use of V-band flanges in the performance parts industry was with turbocharger downpipes. With our racing heritage we have had a lot of experience with standard flange and v-band assemblies on downpipes, dumptubes and even custom exhausts. After hundreds of stripped bolts, dozens of burnt out gaskets and countless bodily injuries using standard bolt together flanges, we decided V-band connections should be introduced in our exhaust systems. These flanges drastically reduce installation time, eliminate leaks, and the need for gaskets and hardware. Our Si Sedan Power-4 Exhaust is one of the first available systems on the market with this technology. As you can see from the diagram, the v-band flange has 360 degrees of flexibility when it is loose. Upon securing the clamp which only takes a few seconds, the v-band assembly locks in place and creates a leak free seal. The 2007 Civic Si Sedan exhaust system has the following specifications: |
 |
- Fully Mandrel Bent 2.5" SUS 304 SS Piping
- 3 Piece Polished Catback system with V-Band Connections (Clamps Included)
- Chambered 6" Muffler Design
- Dyno Tested to produce 13.5 hp gains
- Under 93 Db sound compliant
